Thanks and Merry Christmas!
My sister and I were treated to Frosty Paws last night. We had the peanut butter flavored frozen dog treat and it was HOWLING good. On their website, you can join their Birthday Club and you will receive a Birthday greeting and a coupon for a free box of Frosty Paws frozen dog treats. My Mom checked out their section on party planning ideas, the photo contest and some of the party kits that they have for sale. Check it out at:

Here are my thoughts for the beginning of summer:
1) I had my heartworm test before renewing my heartworm treatments.
2) I got my flea and tick treatment renewed for the year.
3) I am never left in the car alone.
4) There is always a fresh container of water for my use in the car.
5) We always play outside in the early morning or in the cool evening.
6) We never walk on hot, black asphalt. Grass is my first choice.
7) I love the ocean sand but I need shade from the hot sun when resting.
8) I don’t like to be outside more than an hour in the heat. Airconditioning is the right choice for dogs with lung disease or short noses such as my pug friend, Charlie.
9) I am not allowed to go into our neighbor’s yard after they spray chemicals on the grass.
10) I could die if you use products with DEET on my skin. Please be cautious with citronella candles that you have in the yard, because they are poisonous to me.
11) I have to pant in order to release heat from my body. I will become weak and sleepy if I become overheated in the sun and I could die if not brought into the air conditioning house in time.
Have a HOWLING good time this summer!

The Gourmet Dog Bakery offers a monthly photo contest for fuzzy children and their parents. So, grab your camera and send in those photographs of your doggies and their outside antics. It can be a nice poised photo or maybe a funny trick but don’t let this opportunity pass. Then encourage your family and friends to stop by and vote for your child.
Each photo entry will receive a free package of TGDB treats. The highest voted doggie will receive a Bow Wow Sampler.
We encourage all to stop by and enter a photograph.
Easter is just around the corner and a fun way to benefit our local animal rescues/shelters, would be an Easter bonnet parade. Invite your neighbors to dress their fuzzy children in Easter hats and accessories for a $10 donation to your local rescue/shelter. Invite several to judge the fuzzy attire and give a small toy to the winner.
Treats can be given to all entries. We have found that small bite-sized treats are the perfect size for such an occasion. Visit www.TheGourmetDogBakery.com for all your organic and healthy dog treat needs.
