The Animal Defense League is the largest true 'no-kill' non-profit animal shelter in the Southwest region of the United States.  The ADL is located in San Antonio, TX and has been in continuous operation for nearly 75 years.  Thousands of dogs and cats are taken in by the ADL each year.  Each is given needed medical services - provided food, shelter and compassion while they search for permanent and loving homes for all of them.

The Gourmet Dog Bakery will be sponsoring a mininum of 4 dogs in 2008.  The sponsorship will pay for food, toys and medical care until the dogs are adopted.  We have provided photographs of the dogs we have sponsored, on our home page, in the 'sponsorship links'.  For a small sponsorship fee, you too can assist these dogs or cats with care and needed services.  We encourage individuals, families and businesses to consider this valuable deed - for the animals cannot speak for themselves and need our support. 

Please consider adopting your next dog or cat by way of the many no-kill shelters or your local Humane Society.  These dogs are looking for a loving and compassionate home to call their "FOREVER" home.
